Biography
AYESHACHANEY, Founder
It was at a very young age when I began to imitate my
mother’s since of style, fashion and makeup techniques. At 13, I began to
design my own clothing and shoes to wear to school and once I won best dress in
school, I realized that designing was my passion. As a young woman my mother
taught me the basics of sewing, drawing, makeup and styling. My sense of style
comes from a wide variety of color and textures and my ultimate favorite is denim.
I
design a collection of things from clothing, handbags, jewelry, shoes, interior,
baskets, paintings and much more. I love styling people and helping them put
together their wardrobe to suit their personal style and needs. I am currently working with my long time friend the Golden Scissor Award winning hair stylist Tamia "Tink" Wells in putting together an image consultant business.
In 2001, I met a young lady by the name of Aisha Keys aka Craze Chameleon that told me my style was audacious and
she gave me a lot of encouragement to start designing and focusing on denim and handbags. She recently opened her own vintage boutique http://www.crazecstudio.com/ in Washington, DC and that gave me more of the drive to continue on with my destiny and it will eventually be fulfilled.
Being a
working mother, wife and student, I'm currently in school to receive my BA in Advertising Communications. I plan to open up my own boutique in the future. Clients include singer Jayne Kennedy, actor Tray Chaney, Hair stylist Kendra
Turner-Smith, artist Demont Peekaso and stylist Aisha Keys with more to come in the near future. I have also been
featured on www.sgboutique.blogspot.com.
